Harvest - A thanksgiving Tea Party

Our Harvest celebration this year was again in Middleton Village Hall.

An afternoon of fun and fellowship along with songs and stories.

The community choir sang for us, Bob Bolam spoke and sang a couple of songs,

The music, as always, was great - some written by the musicians themselves, some well known songs, even some with actions.

Colin, our new minister, spoke about the wonders of creation and the harvest and pollinators. We learned some very interesting facts about bees and tasted some fabulous honey - with the chance to inspect a hive and examine a smoke box. We heard the bee-attitudes and did you know the line of  verse in the hymn about the humming bee ? "Rustling leaf and humming bee"

The pooled tea and a welcome cuppa went down well.

Once again we received generous gifts of non-perishable food for the Wansbeck food bank, along with generous money donations.

We thank and praise God for all His countless blessings to us all each and every day..
