What will you be doing on 11th November at 11 o’clock ?

How many sacrifices were made by so many men and women ?

Remember lest we forget….

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them

The forth stanza of the famous poem by Robert Laurence Binyon (1869-1943), published in The Times newspaper on 21st September 1914. Apparently he wrote this stanza before he wrote the earlier and later ones.

Our remembrance service started at 10.30 on Sunday 12th November and was led by Brian Lumsden. He read to us from a letter sent in WW1 and told us about his grandson and Mr Brown.
